Overview

The aims of the project are as follows:
1) Design a Virtual Experience that augments the learning of power engineering and creates an authentic learning experience for the student.
2) An adaptable virtual experience that motivates student’s by providing a challenging environment tuned to their expertise.
3) Incorporate scaffolding of the learning content at different levels for students to learn, repeat and reiterate these concepts.
4) Integrate game-based elements such as leaderboards, achievement medals, bragging rights etc. to incorporate a sense
of social motivation along with personal motivation (Susan A. Ambrose et.al., 2010).
5) Provide an outlet for students taking higher level power modules to practice and reiterate their pre-requisite content.
– EE2029: Introduction to Electrical Energy Systems – This will be a new module introduced in AY2020-21. Since this is a core module all the students of the Electrical engineering cohort will be taking this module. An estimated class size of 240 spread across two semesters.
