Active learning in Integrative Science education (ALISE)

Overview

The outcome of the development of active learning strategies to teach integrated science will be the conversion of the thematic SPS modules from a largely passive, teacher-centred model to a more active, learnercentred model. The assessment of the active learning approach will offer insight into the pedagogical efficacy of this strategy and its suitability for
use in other departments.
2. The outcome of the development of educational technologies will be a suite of media rich software that will help create an engaging and technologically-enabled active learning environment. The educational technologies will be disseminated to other departments where appropriate.
